RateSupermarket.ca's Review

Cash-back from everyday purchases? With no fee? It sounds appealing, and that's exactly what you get with the Home Trust Preferred Visa Card. Earn 1% cash-back, with no restrictions on where you can shop, and no limit on the amount you can collect1.

Some cards may offer a higher rate of return, but you would almost certainly have to fork out an annual fee. This card may only offer 1% cash-back, but it does offer some value adds, specifically for vacationers, including roadside assistance, auto rental collision insurance4, and zero foreign exchange fees2 on purchases made in other countries. If you travel, you are probably well aware that most credit card issuers charge you a fee for the simple task of converting currencies when you use your card abroad, in addition to their generally high conversion rate.

Overall, if you want a credit card which offers flexibility in purchasing, Visa benefits, and a decent amount of cash-back, this card is worth a look. Did we mention there is no fee? Now that is a good deal!
