Insurance Type

There are 2 main types of life insurance - permanent and temporary (or term). The quotes offered on RateSupermarket.ca are for term life insurance policies, which means that the policy will provide insurance coverage for a specified period (e.g., a fixed number of years, or to a set age) and then expire. For example, a 10 year term would cover you for 10 years. The benefit is paid out only if the policy holder passes away, during the term of the policy.
