Oakville Mortgage Rates to End 2008 Close to Current Levels

The CMHC reported through their Housing Association Market Outlook that they expect posted mortgage rates to ease around 0.5% in the first half of 2008 even though April rates were 0.30% to 0.35% higher than they were 12 months ago. At the end of 2008 rates will be within 0.50% of their current levels.

2009 five year posted rates are expected to be in the 6.75-7.50%range.
